ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – ROME/NAPLES/POMPEII/ SORRENTO
Pick-up from your centrally located hotel between 6:45-7:00 a.m. Begin your departure to Naples by coach with multilingual tour escort. Upon arrival in Naples our local guide will take you for a walking tour of the historical center to admire Piazza Del Plebiscito, Royal Palace, Gallery of Umberto I and San Carlo Opera House. Then continue to Pompeii, after a short visit to a coral and cameo factory, lunch in a typical restaurant. After lunch visit the excavations of this ancient Roman city which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvio in 79BC and buried under 4 to 6 mt. of ash and stones. Proceed to Sorrento, a jewel of the Sorrentine peninsula famous for the cultivation of orange, lemon and olive trees. Dinner and overnight at the hotel Vesuvio in Sorrento.
DAY 2 – SORRENTO/CAPRI/SORRENTO
American Buffet Breakfast, leave by steamer to the island of Capri. Upon arrival at Marina Grande weather permitting. Optional visit of the blue grotto, visit of the Augustus Gardens and a stop at the famous Piazzetta. MinibuseswilltakeyouuptoAnacapri. After lunch back to Marina Grande to board the return steamer back to your hotel in Sorrento. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 – SORRENTO/POSITANO
American Buffet Breakfast. Morning departure to Amalfi via the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. En-route you will visit Positano and other picturesque fishing villages. Time at leisure in Amalfi. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4 – POSITANO
American Buffet Breakfast. Free time to discover the beauty of this wonderful coastal resort, or to explore the area. You can take a local bus and visit Positano or Ravello, or take time to relax and
plunge into the water of the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5 – POSITANO/POMPEII/ROME
American Buffet Breakfast, morning at leisure, early afternoon at 3:30pm transfer to Pompeii where we will start our trip back to Rome. Traffic permitting, estimated time of arrival approximately at 9:00pm. ***Assistant during enitre tour except Amalfi.***
NOTE: 1) Participants must bring with them only 1 piece of luggage (which will be stowed in the bottom compartment of the coach bus, during check-in and check-out from accommodation) Only one carry-on or purse is permitted on board.
