Alitours International Inc. from herein will be referred to Alitours, acting as a Tour Operator.
ALITOURS manages the operation of this Web site as well as invoicing.
Please make sure you have read and understood these general terms and conditions of ALITOURS. After you have completed your reservation, you will immediately receive an invoice from ALITOURS and ALITOURS will send you your travel documents in accordance with the provisions of Section 15 of these General Terms and Conditions of ALITOURS.
RESPONSIBILITY OF ALITOURSi) ALITOURS has the same responsibilities as a travel agent; as such, it offers information on flights and vacation packages, as provided by its third-party suppliers.
ii) ALITOURS makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of information provided on this Web site. Each service is treated differently, and may have its own terms and conditions. Please read the full description/details/itinerary/inclusions, and their relative terms and conditions for each service purchased/booked.
iii) ALITOURS’ sole objective is to assist Travel Agents and their customers in verifying availability of travel products and services and in making reservations and purchases in due form.
Bookings made with Alitours International Inc. (from herein Alitours) involve an agreement between you and Alitours plus other suppliers who provide service for which you paid. Alitours does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, hotel, resort or other supplier of service and is not responsible for their acts or omissions.
iv) For several reasons beyond the control of ALITOURS, modifications can take place during the season which may affect internet descriptions. For cruises, ask our call center agents at the time of booking to verify if any modifications have been made.
The following information and conditions constitute your binding contract with Alitours and its supplier, please read carefully, and understands all the information on this page as it sets out the conditions governing the provision of services.
No representative of ALITOURS is authorized to alter or ignore any of the provisions hereof.
USER’S RESPONSIBILITYYou, the user, attest that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement and to use this Web site in accordance with all terms and conditions herein.
You also agree that all information supplied by you and members of travel group, are true and accurate.
Prices online are quoted/displayed in EURO, CAD or USD, however ALL TRANSACTIONS ARE PROCESSED IN CANADIAN FUNDS (CAD).
Prices quoted in this brochure are based on fixed cost at the time of going to press. These costs depend on fuel cost rates of exchange and other factors. Should these costs increase, Alitours/supplier reserves the right to increase the prices herein shown without notice, unless deposit has been paid to secure booking. Vacation prices are per person unless otherwise mentioned, and are based on double occupancy. Single room supplements and triple room reductions are listed where applicable.
IMPORTANT INFO ON ITALIAN CITY/TOURIST TAX:
Please be reminded that from January 1st 2011, Italy Government Officials have approved Local City Tax for some Italian cities. Alitours, published and online prices as well as invoices, do not reflect city tax in total cost. For your reference the following applies to all visitors/travelers, residing in the following cities. These City tax(s)* are COMPULSORY, and MUST be paid DIRECTLY IN HOTEL upon arrival/check-in.
Rome: €3.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 Stars Dlx, 5 Stars and 4 stars hotels €2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3 stars, 2 stars, 1 star hotels.
All the above amount will be calculated for maximum 10 nights stay (it means that in case a client stays in Rome for 11,12 or more nights they will pay the fee for max 10 nights). Florence & Venice: €1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT PER STAR Florence tax will be applied for a maximum of 10 days. Children (up to 10 years) do not need to pay. Venice amount calculated for maximum 5 nights. ( EX. 3Star hotels = €3.00 Euro per person per night). Reductions by 50% for stays between Nov 1-Dec 22, Jan 6 (or first Sunday following)- Mar 31 (except during Carnival or Easter periods).
Catania & Giardini Naxos €1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT Maximum 3 nights.
*Information provided by Government officials updates of any changes, will be provided at the time of booking.
For Travel Services booked through a travel agent licensed in Quebec, prices may be increased in the event of the imposition of a surcharge on fuel by the carrier or an increase in the exchange rate, insofar as the exchange rate applicable 45 days before the date on which the services are provided has increase by more than 5% since the date of the reservation. If the increase, without taking into account any increase in the Quebec sales tax or Canada’s goods and services tax, is equal or greater than 7% of the price of the services, the customer may choose between full and immediate reimbursement of the services or the provision of similar services of the same price otherwise the difference in price shall be assumed by the client; no price increase may occur within 30 days preceding the date on which the services must be provided.
For Travel Services booked through a travel agent registered in Ontario, except if paid in full, the total price of the Travel Services may be increased. If the cumulative increase, except any increase resulting from an increase in retail sales tax or federal goods and services tax, is more than seven per cent (7%), the customer has the right to cancel the contract and obtain a full refund or opt for comparable alternate Travel Services acceptable to the customer, as long as the price of the product corresponds to the price of the original product, otherwise the difference in price shall be assumed by the client; no price increase may occur within 30 days preceding the date on which the services must be provided.
a) A fee of $50 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation.
b) A change of traveler name, tour date or tour itinerary within 45 days of commencement of services will be treated as a cancellation and new reservation; standard cancellation fees apply.

d) Change of Date: $50.00 fee per booking (additional fees may apply, due to Travel Dates) in additional to fare difference
e) Change of Service: (Hotel, Tour, Villa, Apartment, Vacation Package etc.) $50.00 fee per booking (additional fees may apply, due to Travel Dates)
f) All Other Products: Reduced stay and/or expected return, partial or total change on location or “no show”: no refund
g) Extended Stay: local rates and taxes will apply and must be paid on location.

CANCELLATIONS:The intention to cancel, cannot be done online, or on the booking engine, it must be communicated in writing by the traveler and provided either to/by a travel agent, or personally to Alitours.
Cancellation penalties will be calculated based on the time notification is received by Alitours and are as follows:
Cancellation received up to 45 days prior to departure- Deposit amount.
Cancellation received between 45 and 30 days prior to departure: 50% of the total cost per person.
Cancellation received less than 30 days prior to departure: 100% of the total cost per person.
Cancellation received up to 60 days prior to departure – Deposit amount
Cancellation received between 59 and 45 days prior to departure: 50% of the total cost per person
Cancellation received less then 44 days prior to departure: 100% of the total cost per person
Cancellation received more then 21 days prior to departure: Deposit amount
Cancellation received between 21 and 14 days prior to departure 50% of the total cost per person.
Cancellation received less than 14 days prior to departure or for non-arrival: 100% of the total cost per person.
Subject to terms and conditions of Airline rules & regulations contract. Ask your travel agent at the time of booking.
v) Regular scheduled bus or walking Sight Seeing tours, and Excursions of any kind:
Upto 10 days prior to departure 30% non-refundable.
9 Days or less prior to departure, totally non refundable-no exceptions.
Up to 72 hours prior to departure 30% non-refundable. Less than 72 hours prior, totally non refundable-no exceptions.
VIP/Group Private services including long distance transfers and/or custom tours, pre-built packages, and itineraries*: $250 per service or 30% of total whichever is greater.
Independent Services and/or F.I.T’s are exceptions, cancellation and change fees apply to each individual service please read cancellation descriptions of each.
Lessons of any kind, Point-to-point train and/or ferry tickets, entrance tickets to sites/venues,Concerts, Live events, and anything not categorized as sightseeing, totally non refundable- no exceptions.
No refund will be given for a price change resulting in a lower fare. No refunds will be made by ALITOURS for Travel Services either cancelled or unused subsequent to departure. Insurance premiums are non-refundable, in whole or in part, whether cancelled before or after the departure date. Bonuses included in packages are non-refundable and have no monetary value. All cancellation fees must be calculated based on the total amount of the products and Travel Services purchased including GST/PST/HST.
CONDITIONS OF FLIGHTS AND CARRIERSCustomers/Users acknowledge and accept the following:
Changes: Flights offered by ALITOURS are conducted in accordance with the applicable tariff of the air carrier and pursuant to regulations set out by the Canadian Transportation Agency. All such flights and rates are also subject to approval by the relevant government authorities. Consolidations and changes in the published schedule, aircraft type, days of operation, air carrier providing air transportation, and flight itinerary may be undertaken at any time and without prior notice, in accordance with the air carrier’s tariff.
Schedule Check and Connecting Flights: Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. All customers having purchased a package or air only with ALITOURS are entirely responsible for verifying the flight schedule with the airline and/or ALITOURS’ representative during the 24-hour period immediately prior to the departure and the return date. Customers having purchased air only must reconfirm their return flight within 24 to 72 hours prior to the scheduled take-off time. ALITOURS undertakes to notify customers reasonably in advance through means it deems appropriate of any schedule changes resulting in the advancement or delay of the flight departure times or in case of cancellation of a flight.
Whenever customers book connecting flights, they have the responsibility to allow themselves sufficient time to make the connection. No control can be exercised over air carriers to guarantee flight schedules, which may be altered or affected by various circumstances. ALITOURS will not be liable for any change of schedule or a missed flight connection, including any additional fees incurred and special, incidental or consequential damages (including the carriage of baggage) arising from the foregoing, whether or not it had the knowledge that such additional fees or damages might be incurred.
Airport check-in: It is recommended that customers arrive at the airport check-in counter at least three (3) hours prior to departure, failing which their reservation may be cancelled and their seats assigned to other customers, with no right of recourse.
Seat assignment: Unless already pre-assigned, aircraft seating is conducted by staff at the air carrier’s check-in counter. In the event of the loss of confirmed First Class, Priority Class, Business, Executive or Club Class seats available with some air carriers owing to a change of air carrier, aircraft type or because of flight consolidation, refund by ALITOURS of the amount paid for Club Class service shall be deemed complete and final settlement.
Other applicable conditions: Air transportation is subject to all applicable government regulations and is governed by the Montreal Convention, or the Warsaw Convention as the case may be, the applicable tariffs of the air carrier as well as the conditions of contract appearing on the airline ticket. Once filed with and approved by federal regulatory authorities, any amendments or changes to the applicable air carrier’s general terms and conditions of carriage are not subject to additional public notice and are legally binding.
Refusal to transport – Removal of passengers: ALITOURS shall not be liable for neither refusal by itself or the air carrier to transport a passenger nor for the cancellation of a reserved space or removal of a passenger from an outbound flight and/or return flight due to, but not limited to, failure to present himself/herself for an outbound flight (no show), safety reasons to prevent the violation of any applicable laws of any country or to prevent any hazard or risk to such passenger, to any other person or property, or to the flight.
VALIDITY OF TICKETSTickets are made out in the name of the customer and are not transferable. Tickets are valid only on the dates and flights indicated. Unused portions of tickets may not be used for travel on other flights and are not subject to refund at any time.
MINORSAir navigation orders adopted by the Ministry of Transport allow infants under two (2) years of age (at date of completion of travel) to travel free of charge, provided they do not occupy a seat (flight reservation must be made) and no meal service is provided.
BAGGAGELimits: Air carriers have individual rules and regulations with respect to baggage weight, size and number. Customers must consult with their travel agent for applicable restrictions.
Please note: Only 1 piece of baggage & 1 carry-on allowed per passenger on our Fully and Semi Escorted Tours.
Liability: The provisions of the Montreal Convention, or the Warsaw Convention, as the case may be, the applicable tariffs of the air carrier, as well as the notice appearing on the passenger ticket and baggage check, govern the loss of and damage to baggage and establish the limits of the air carrier’s liability.
Baggage lost or damaged while boarding or disembarking a ship must be reported to the Purser’s office prior to the ship’s departure from port or prior to leaving the local customs area. Passengers’ baggage and property are transported, stored and handled at owner’s risk at all times. UNLESS INSURED, ALL BAGGAGE REMAINS AT THE OWNERS RISK THROUGHOUT THE TRIP.
DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTSAfter you have reserved your trip, Alitours will immediately send you an invoice confirming your purchase and providing details of your itinerary. This invoice constitutes your final opportunity to verify the accuracy of the information that will be entered on your travel documents. If you have purchased insurance, you will receive the insurance contract by e-mail. You will receive a booklet containing all details of the various coverage, along with a personalized card that you must keep with you at all times during your trip.
For Weddings, Special Groups and Events or Itineraries of more than 14 days, you may choose to electronically receive your travel documents through via e-mail or fax.
Note that you may choose option 1 only if you make your reservation more than fourteen (14) days before departure. In such case, your travel documents will be sent to you within two weeks of the departure date. If you make your reservation fourteen (14) days or less before departure, the only possible mode of travel document delivery is option 2.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS – BEFORE YOU GOA valid Canadian passport is the only reliable and universally accepted evidence of Canadian citizenship. Except as otherwise specified provided, the Canadian passport is required to travel outside of Canada everywhere and at any time. Certain countries require that the passport be valid for six (6) months beyond the date of return to Canada. It is the full responsibility of customers to obtain at their own expense all necessary travel documents required by all relevant government authorities, including all ports of call, and to comply with the laws thereof. Canadian citizens born in certain countries may require a visa in addition to a valid passport. Cruise itineraries require a visa. Under applicable laws, all guests must complete the advance cruise guest registration form prior to leaving the country. Failure to do so can result in denied boarding at the pier. A permanent resident card will be required for permanent residents/landed immigrants who are not Canadian citizens. One (1) parent traveling with a child under age eighteen (18) may have to obtain a notarized letter of consent signed by the parent not traveling.
Customers are responsible for checking which documents are required, and then making certain that they have the necessary documents in hand prior to departure. Customers failing to provide the required documents may be denied boarding privileges by the carrier or relevant authorities, without further recourse or the possibility of a refund. Entry to another country may also be refused even if the required information and travel documents are complete. No refund or replacement will be given for lost or stolen travel documents.
ALITOURS shall not be liable for any aid or information given by its employees or the call center agents in connection with obtaining any necessary travel documents or complying with any laws, whether given orally, in writing or otherwise, or for the consequences suffered by any customer resulting from his/her failure to obtain such documents or to comply with such laws.
For any purchase made by a resident of Canada, ALITOURS offers purchase of travel insurance, including trip cancellation insurance and out-of province health insurance. You acknowledge that ALITOURS makes this insurance available in good faith and that you are fully responsible for your decisions in regard to insurance (e.g., taking out comprehensive coverage, or purchasing no insurance at all).
Once you have made a reservation, you may purchase travel insurance within 48 days of the purchase of your trip by contacting ALITOURS by phone. You may also increase the coverage of the insurance you purchased within 48 hours of your purchase of insurance by contacting ALITOURS. If you decide to cancel the insurance you purchased through ALITOURS, you must advise us within 10 days following the purchase of the latter.
In event of any situation justifying an insurance claim, the customer must contact ALITOURS as soon as possible.
For any purchase made by a resident of the United States, purchase of insurance must be made through a local insurance provider.
CUSTOMER ADVISORYSome events are part of normal unpleasant occurrences which can happen when traveling abroad. The customer realizes this, solely assumes the consequences thereof and agrees that ALITOURS cannot be held responsible for any damages owing to such occurrences.
Living Standards: Customers are asked to bear in mind and accept that living standards, religion, local practices and the political system at the destination, and the conditions there with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation may differ from those found in Canada.
Service disruptions: Some services including water, electricity, air-conditioning, security, sanitary conditions, pools, beverages and other services or benefits may be suspended or interrupted partially or completely during the customer’s stay. Likewise, depending on the occupancy rate of hotels, à la carte dining may be replaced by buffet or vice-versa.
Food, water and beverages: The food, water and beverages may not be up to North American standards. Accordingly, customers assume sole responsibility for any illness suffered while abroad or upon return owing to the quality of the food, water and beverages.
Social and sports activities: Some social and sports activities and sports equipment, as well as entertainment organized by participating hotels or cruises and included in packages, are offered free of charge and, as such, do not impact the cost of the packages. These added benefits vary and are subject to change or cancellation at any time during the customer’s stay.
Insects: Insect life thrives in certain climates and makes no distinction between budget, intermediate or higher-priced hotel accommodations.
Construction: To maintain the quality of services, hotel complexes must regularly undergo maintenance, improvement and renovation work and, in some instances, consider expansion. Whenever construction or renovation work that is likely to interfere with the use and enjoyment of any accommodation is brought to the attention of ALITOURS, every reasonable effort will be deployed to promptly notify customers; however, it cannot be held accountable for any inconvenience caused to the client.
Holidays, school breaks, elections and conventions: Customers may be subject to certain inconveniences, such as cancellation or unavailability of some services, when traveling during periods designated as school breaks, other holidays, elections or conventions. Because these periods vary according to country and relevant authorities, it is practically impossible for ALITOURS to provide any indication of such dates. Customers acknowledge and solely assume the possible consequences of traveling during these periods.
ROOM AND CABIN ALLOCATIONHoteliers and cruise lines are solely responsible for room/cabin allocation, in accordance with the
category reserved by customers. Should customers choose to alter their room/cabin category upon arrival at destination (upon availability), they must make their own arrangements with the hotelier or cruise line and assume all additional fees levied by them. Special requests concerning, bed types, room/cabin amenities and location can be forwarded to the hotelier or cruise line, but
they do not constitute on any account a confirmation.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT CONDITIONSCustomers acknowledge and accept that hoteliers, in accordance with international standards, request that occupants check in between noon and 3 PM and check out by noon on the scheduled day of departure or by noon on the day immediately preceding an early night departure. The hotel will advise the customer of the check-out time when he/she checks in at the hotel. Whenever meals and/or drinks are included in the package, customers are eligible for meal and drink services from the time they check in to the time they check out.
PHOTOGRAPHS OR PICTURESPhotographs or pictures appearing on the ALITOURS website should be used solely as an indication and shall not be construed as part of these Terms and Conditions. Customers are advised to make their selection according to price, location and services offered. Decor and furnishings may vary from room to room or from cabin to cabin, in accordance with the individual location on the hotel premises or on the ship.
TRAVEL SERVICES , REQUESTS, SPECIAL ASSISTANCE AND PARTICIPATION
TOUR PARTICIPATION: For the benefit of everyone on your vacation, Alitours reserves the
right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and to remove from the tour any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the other participants.
TRAVELERS NEEDING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE: Any disability requiring special attention must be reported to Alitours at the time a reservation is being made. Alitours will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but is not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Most transportation services including the touring motor coach are not equipped with wheelchair ramps.We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance, and must assume total responsibility for the handicapped participant’s well-being. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for vacations in Europe.
YOUNG TRAVELERS: Travelers who are less than 18 years old staying in an accommodation
provided by Alitours or on a tour must be accompanied by an adult.
CHILDREN: Unless stated otherwise, children’s prices are restricted to children 2-11 years of age at the time of departure, sharing a room with two (2) full paying passengers. Due to heightened security, many countries have adopted practice to prevent international abductions of children. If a child will be traveling with adults other than the parents or with only one parent, it is recommended that a notarized letter be written by the parents or non-traveling parent granting authorization to travel, including the dates of travel.We suggest that you also contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional requirements.

Guests need to arrive at the hotel by 6.00 pm in order to participate in any featured Welcome Cocktail/Reception and/or scheduled arrival meet & greet. No refunds are issued for missed Welcome Receptions and meals due to late arrivals, instead your Tour Escort/Director or Local Representative will contact you directly.

Prices Indicated: Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAN$), unless otherwise indicated, and are based upon the prices of service providers, the exchange rate, the cost of fuel, taxes and other fees in force at time of preparation of the present brochure.

TOUR EXCURSIONS/SIGHTSEEING & OTHER ACTIVITIES Please see the terminology click here for details and descriptions of activities and inclusions.
WALKING TOURS: Many of Alitours’ tours, vacation packages and itineraries feature walking tours and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all passengers.
PLAN YOUR BUDGET: You are advised to do this well in advance and be sure to allocate funds for special events whilst on tour, such as theatre, celebration meals, shopping and side trips, and ‘Optional Excursions’.
SIGHTSEEING/EXCURSIONS & PRE-PLANNED ITINERARIES: These services are included as per the itinerary and is under the direction of licensed local guides where required. Entrance fees to all places visited are included where indicated. During holidays, some sights such as museums may be closed or unavailable for visits. Alitours reserves the right to vary the sequence of sightseeing and/or to re-route the order of cities should circumstances demand it. In either case, the itinerary content will be maintained; however, the order may change. While on tours, additional sightseeing/excursions may be suggested by your tour director and/or hostess who will provide you the full details these “extras”must be purchased locally (cannot be charged on credit cards). There are no refunds for any unused portion of these sightseeing/ excursion(s).
**Some sightseeing/excursions may be conducted by multilingual escorts and may include passengers speaking other languages.
HOTELS: All Hotels are priced per room, per night unless otherwise indicated, and include VAT tax. Breakfast is included in all hotel stays (indicated by BB*) unless otherwise indicated. Different room types and categories available please see legend pg. 2. All hotels are contracted on a “run of the house” basis. Specific requirements, with regards to room location and other special requests cannot be guaranteed. This is at the discretion of the hotel. Prices vary according to the grade and location of the hotel/property offered. It should be clearly understood that grading the hotel and services are in accordance with standards established in Countries where such hotels and services are supplied. The Operator reserves the right to make substitutions with hotels of similar or higher ratings, however, amenities may not be the same. Accommodations are with private bath or shower, at the hotel selected. A single room may be provided at an additional supplement. In addition, rooms are assigned upon arrival, based on current availability and may vary in size, amenities and location. Generally, triple rooms in Europe consist of two beds with a rollaway set up for a third party. Air conditioning is available at most 3 star and all 4-star or higher hotels. However, foreign air conditioning is not necessarily used according to Canadian/U.S. standards. Air-conditioning is often controlled by each hotel and restricted
according to weather conditions or available mid-June to mid- September only. Some tourist-class hotels may have air conditioning available, and some may charge an additional supplement.
TRANSFERS: Transfers are either provided (included in the price) OR can be purchased separately. All transfers are based on PRIVATE vehicle unless otherwise indicated. Each “Transfer(s)” are treated differently, each with their own procedures & Terms and Conditions. Please read carefully for each service, its detailed description. Round-trip transfers are included where specified, from airports, piers, and train stations to hotels. Such transfers inclusion notwithstanding, passenger is responsible for punctuality on all flights and tour services, consequently lateness will be considered as NO-SHOW and no refund is allowed. For ESCORTED TOUR passengers extending pre-and- post tour dates, or deviating from set schedule, transfers are not included, but may be provided at a supplement. Transfers between points of interest are at passenger’s own expense if not listed as included. Bookings must be made no later than 72 hours prior to departure. At the time of booking, number of passengers, date, time, location and mode of arrival must be provided to Alitours. If the travelers scheduled (flight/air/rail/ cruise) arrival, is delayed while travelers are on route, our office/driver will be notified, and driver will wait for travelers. If travelers are arriving by other means at meeting point, then transfer will be deemed cancelled. If clients change itinerary, mode of transportation etc. and do not inform our office/driver within 24 hours with updated information, it will be treated as no show. Drivers will wait for travelers no more than 45 minutes after pick-up time indicated on travelers’ documents. If clients, upon arrival, cannot locate their driver it is their responsibility to contact the driver/local office and inform us. Failing to contact driver/local representative or our office will result in no show- no exceptions. “No- shows” are totally non-refundable. No exceptions. In the event of unforeseen events Alitours will not be responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
BAGGAGE: Please note: only 1 piece of baggage & 1 carry-on allowed per passenger on our Fully and Semi Escorted Tours. Travelers should consult the airline company prior to departure. UNLESS INSURED, ALL BAGGAGE REMAINS AT THE OWNERS RISK THROUGHOUT THE TRIP.
SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed on any transportation vehicles provided by Alitours.
REQUESTS: Any special meal/room requirements are made on REQUEST basis only. Alitours cannot GUARANTEE special meal/room, request nor will assume responsibility or liability if client special requests are not fulfilled.
RESPONSIBILITYAlitours, referred to as the Tour Operator, undertakes the following duties:
1. The Tour Operator shall be responsible to the passenger for supplying the services and accommodations described in this brochure, except where such service cannot be supplied or the itinerary is changed due to delays or other causes beyond the control of the Tour Operator. In such circumstances, the Tour Operator will do their best to supply comparable services, accommodations and there shall be no refund in this connection.
2. This brochure represents the entire agreement between the passenger and the Tour Operator.
3. FORCE MAJEURE: Alitours shall not be liable for failure in the performance of any of its obligations, including without limitation, for any loss or damage resulting from any delay, cancellation, adverse weather conditions, loss of personal belongings, illness, bodily injury, accident, death, deterioration of Travel Services, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, disappointment or frustration, either mental or physical, due to: An act of God or Force Majeure or third party wrongdoing; A war, revolution, insurrection, riot, blockage, terrorism or act of terrorism, or any other unlawful act against public order or authority; Fire, flood, explosion, earthquake, epidemics, pandemic, virus, quarantine, public health emergency, disease outbreak, storm, tropical storm, lightning, hurricane, tornado or tsunami;
* • Accident to or failure of an aircraft or equipment used in connection therewith, loss of or hijacking of an aircraft, or any shortage of or inability to provide labour, fuel or facilities; Any strike, lock-out, labour dispute or other industrial disturbance whether involving Alitours employees, the employees of its service providers or others upon whom Alitours relies; Any government order, regulation, action or inaction or any failure to obtain the approval of a government authority having jurisdiction in the circumstances as may be required to the conduct of operations here under or any government or legal restraint upon such operation; Others upon whom Alitours relies for the performance of the whole or any part of any Travel Services hereunder; Any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Alitours and any other event not reasonably to be foreseen, anticipated or predicted, whether actual, threatened or reported, which may interfere with the operations of Alitours or of its service providers.
4. Where the passenger occupies a motor coach seat fitted with a safety belt, neither the Tour Operator nor their agents or co-operating organizations will be liable for any injury, illness or death or for any damages or claims whatsoever arising from an accident or incident, if the safety belt is not being worn or the passenger is not seated when the coach is moving at the time of such accident or incident.
5. Transportation companies, airlines etc. are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board planes, transportation, or conveyances. The passenger contracts in use by the airlines or transportation companies when used shall constitute the sol contract between the airline transportation company and passenger or purchaser of this tour and Alitours assumes no responsibility in this connection. Enrollment in and payment for a tour shall constitute agreement and acceptance by the passenger of the terms and conditions set forth in this brochure, which cannot be varied except in writing by an officer of the Company.
6. All matters concerning this booking shall be subject to the Laws of Canada and legal action arising under the Contract shall be litigated only in the appropriate Court having jurisdiction in that Country, which Court both parties acknowledge to have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any legal action brought hereunder.
7. Every effort is made to ensure brochure accuracy at the time of going to press; however, Alitours cannot be held responsible for printing or typographical errors, or errors arising from unforeseen circumstances.
CHANGES TO TRAVEL SERVICESIf confirmed Travel Services are no longer available prior to the departure date or subsequent to arrival at destination, ALITOURS reserves the right to substitute them for comparable alternate Travel Services, or, alternatively, to cancel them. If the substituted Travel Services are of lesser value, the liability of ALITOURS shall be limited to the sole difference in cost.
If the substituted Travel Services are of greater value, the customer will be required to disburse an amount equal to the difference between the price of the Travel Services purchased and that of the substituted Travel Services. The customer will be entitled to refuse such substitutions. In such a case, and in the event of a cancellation, the liability of ALITOURS shall be limited to the reimbursement of the price of Travel Services paid by the customer and shall constitute full settlement.
Changes to cruise itinerary: ALITOURS and the participating cruise line reserve the right to cancel, alter or re-schedule any timings, to omit one or more ports of call, to substitute alternative itineraries or to otherwise amend the cruising or the content of these holidays with or without prior notice to the passenger or his/her agent.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY TO TRAVEL SERVICES
Statement to the Call Centre Agent: Customers are responsible for advising their travel agent of their intentions, expectations and needs, as they relate to the proposed travel, before the reservation is completed.
Health: Customers whose physical condition so requires must ensure that they have a sufficient quantity of any required medication with them, and that they must carry such medication in their hand baggage at all times. Customers must also consult competent medical authorities prior to departure about preventive medical measures to be taken as regards to the countries to be visited.
Pregnancy: The cruise lines will not accept passengers who will have entered their twenty-fourth (24th) week of pregnancy by the time their travel concludes. A medical certificate establishing the due date and fitness to travel is required.
The air carrier may refuse pregnant passengers for whom air travel may involve a risk to themselves or their unborn children. A medical certificate establishing the due date and fitness to travel may be required prior to departure. Please ask our call center agents for the air carrier’s policy in this regard.
Sports and activities: Descriptions of sports and other activities contained on this website are provided for information purposes only and are not meant to incite the customer in any way.
ALITOURS cannot be held responsible for any accident or mishap occurring at the destination during the practice of any sport and/or activity in which the customers participate of their own free will and initiative.

Services hereunder; Any other causes beyond the reasonable control of ALITOURS and any other event not reasonably to be foreseen, anticipated or predicted, whether actual, threatened or reported, which
may interfere with the operations of ALITOURS or of its service providers.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITYALITOURS makes arrangements with air carriers, hotels, transfer operators, cruise lines and other independent parties to provide customers with the Travel Services they purchase. Although ALITOURS takes great care in selecting its service providers, it does not have any control over them and cannot be held responsible for their omissions, fault or negligence, or that of their employees, nor for any loss or damages suffered as a result thereof. Travel Services provided are subject to the conditions imposed by the service providers and their liability is limited by their tariffs, conditions of carriage, tickets, vouchers, international conventions and agreements.
ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES NOT INCLUDEDALITOURS shall not be liable for the quality or safety of activities and/or services (such as excursions, optional tours, activities, little extras and others) available at destination that customers may wish to participate in and which are not included in the package, nor for any other representation made by the operator of any such activities and/or services. Any written or oral contract for all such activities and/or services shall be deemed to be made between customers and the operator of such activities and/or services and shall be undertaken at the customers own risk of loss, damage or injury. ALITOURS shall not be liable in any manner for any complaints or claims that may arise as a result of participation in any such activities and/or services which are offered by third parties over whom ALITOURS has no control.
CONFIDENTIALITYALITOURS strictly complies with principles of confidentiality with respect to customers personal information, including in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
COMMENTS & CLAIMSAlitours must be given every opportunity to resolve customer complaints in destination. All concerns must be addressed to the customer service department. Only unresolved customer service issues, which were properly addressed at destination, can be submitted in writing within 15 days after the fact. Include any unused documents with the correspondence. Claims or demands received after 15 days will not be responded to. Please allow 60 days for processing. All correspondence must be directed through the travel agent of record. Alitours is not responsible for any representation made by travel agent, hotel employees, or suppliers of any kind. No agent or representatives of Alitours may waive any provisions of the terms; conditions. The invalidity of any provision contained herein shall not affect the validity of any
At destination, customers must contact the ALITOURS; representative to get his/her assistance and to remedy any problem without delay. When the travel arrangements do not include the service of an ALITOURS; representative, the client must contact the hotel manager, the on-board purser or ALITOURS directly at the following e-mail address: SOS@alitours.com. If a problem cannot be resolved or dealt with immediately, customers are requested to forward the specifics of the incident in writing to our Customer Relations department to email@example.com within thirty (15) days of their return date.
