sightseeiconGreek Designers Shopping Tour

In this tour you will have the chance to explore the two most important shopping areas in the city, and to the shops in those areas that are doing the most interesting things. In Kolonaki, the city’s most expensive neighborhood, there’s always a feeling of indulgence combined with style. Here, you’ll drop in on clothing boutiques that stand out from the crowd not just because of what their product lines look like but also because of how they’re made and what they’re made from. Organic and unused recycled are definitely in this year.

You’ll also explore pioneers in cosmetics – a company run by former pharmacists that combine Greek philosophy with natural ingredients to produce goods that are, in fact, good for you, body and soul.

Another stop will be for a deli store, dedicated to Greek produce and traditional Greek foodstuffs that make up the Mediterranean diet as it’s experienced here on the shores of the Aegean.

In the center of town, after a stop for coffee and a visit to a museum gift shop that promotes new designers by exhibiting and selling their work, you’ll visit a pair of jewelry shops where brand new motifs are being realized, often with the use of unexpected new materials as well. You’ll also look in at more boutiques, including one with a range of items that runs from small furniture to shoes and accessories.

Before the tour is finished, you’ll know more about where Greek fashion and the Greek aesthetic are headed, and there’s a very good chance you’ll have picked up more than just some really good ideas for your wardrobe.
