About the Villa

Casa de Seara is perched in a tranquil, elevated location amidst the tumbling terraced vineyards of the Douro Valley, with inspirational views down towards the river. This is the heart of Port wine country, with endless opportunities to visit some of the most famous vineyards in the world from this splendid base. Five kilometres down the winding rural road, beside the Douro River, you’ll find the town of Pinhão, a mostly sleepy town but the capital of the wine growing region, with several shops, restaurants, bars and cafés.

This is an unpretentious, simply styled country house with homely touches and a friendly, welcoming ambience. On the first floor there is a small sitting room and five unassuming en suite bedrooms, three twins and two doubles, each with ambient music and air conditioning. Downstairs there is a small single bedroom and shower room, and this endearing Douro Valley villa really comes into its own on the ground floor with two fabulous social areas. In the Adega, stools and a table have been converted from barrels, there’s an old winepress and a big bench table beside a kitchen area, and outside is an excellent barbecue and a vine covered patio with simply breathtaking views. And this, without doubt, will be the focal point of your stay at the enchanting Casa de Seara! Fenced and gated swimming pool!
