About the Villa

This delightfully restored country cottage, which dates back to 1900, can be found in the village of Assafora at the northern tip of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Local grocery stores, cafés and restaurants are in walking distance and São Julião surfers beach is just 3 kms away with Magoito and Samarra beaches also nearby. The popular resort of Ericeira is 15 kms distant and within easy reach are the lovely resort of Cascais, well known for its sea food restaurants, and the dramatic architecture of Sintra. Lisbon can be reached in around one hour.
The grounds are enclosed by a stone wall and the swimming pool is flanked by small lawn. The barbecue is nearby and there’s plenty of room for outdoor eating on the paved sun terrace. Inside, simple designs exude a charming rustic ambience. The cosy living room has a low beamed ceiling, with wicker furnishings, and there’s a sitting room with a sofa and card table, both having French windows onto the pool and terrace. Above the sitting room there’s a gallery with a divan bed, the ideal place to escape with a book! The country kitchen leads to a quaint twin bedroom with iron beds, terracotta tiled floor and a semi en-suite shower room. Upstairs is a double bedroom continuing the warm traditional style with a handsome iron bed, wood floor and an en-suite toilet and wash basin.

Lovely reconstruction of a 1900 Village house, maintaining the traditional architecture with many traditional details such as the materials used – stone and wood. This charming house is located in Assafora , a typical small village on the coast halfway between Ericeira and Sintra
The interior furnishings are basic , comfortable and rustic, equipped kitchen ( no dishwasher) with breakfast table , 2 bedrooms , one lounge, Mezanine room with sofa bed .

Please note that the bathrooms are one downstairs with shower cabinet and one upstairs with no bath facilities.

With a lovely leisure exterior area and near the beaches Magoito, São Julião and Samarra. In the village at walking distance there can be found a small traditional grocery shop, supermarket , local cafes , restaurants, all within walking distance – within 400 metres
