A Day in the Vilage of Lassithi & Picnic (from Heraklion)

The day starts with a nice promenade in the narrow streets of the village Ag. Konstantions at the Lassithi Plateau. We offer local tea, Greek coffee, and cookies while discussing the history through ages from the Venetian to Turkish domination and the special architectural characteristics of the houses and cottages of the village. Following the visit, a pleasant brunch will give the visitor the chance to try fresh local fruits, vegetables and homemade bread with olives and cheese all packed in the Cretan handwoven traditional backpack called Vourgia and light trekking through the gorge of Havgas will take place. The gorge is only 2,5kms from the village so the chance of admiring the flourished nature of the plateau is greatly appreciated by every visitor!
A short break at a local Cretan farm, where guests can enjoy their traditional snack included in the Vourgia.
