MARSALA HISTORICAL WINERIES: DONNAFUGATA & FLORIO
Activities & Excursions
Meeting with our driver in your Hotel and depart to Marsala. Visit of the Donnafugata winery (about 1 hour and a half). The winery grew out of the commitment of a family in Sicily that has always believed in the extraordinary enological potential of its land and has 150 years of experience in producing premium wines. Meet the wine grower who will show you the techniques of viticulture. Wine tasting (3 wines) in the Sala delle Botti (Hall of Casks) a very suggestive space. Time at leisure in Marsala and lunch on your own. Proceed to the Cantine Florio to taste the famous Marsala wines (3 wines) accompanied by a typical Sicilian products tasting in the new “Donna Franca” Hall: a unique experience thanks to a beautiful soundtrack and lights show. Return to Palermo.

We suggest to book a local guide HD (max 2 hours) for the visit of Piazza Armerina and also in Agrigento (to meet on the spot). You can also book a FD (max 8 hours) local guide for the whole day Segesta/Erice/Selinunte” or a HD (max 4 hours) local guide for the visit of Cefalù.
Important: a English Speaking Driver is a chauffeur specialized to drive you around Sicily. He is able to provide basic historical information and show you the main highlights. However, our English Speaking driver is not a Licensed Tourist Guide (Licensed Tourist Guide: are the only professionals -- with a Regional license -- permitted to conduct visits and tours in all sites and museums within a city) and he cannot escort you inside the monuments because this is not allowed by Italian Rules.
On request, you can hire a Licensed Tourist Guide, paying the supplement to have this extra service and generally meet your local guide on the spot to visit Churches, Museums and/or Archaeological Sites
