DAY 1 - CATANIA

Private transfer from Catania airport to the hotel IL PRINCIPE 4**** or similar. Dinner this evening. D

DAY 2 - CATANIA/ SIRACUSA/ RAGUSA Sicilian typical products tasting

Drive to Syracuse to visit the marvellous archaeological area then continue to the island of Ortigia, where you will see the magnificent Cathedral and the Fountain of Arethusa. Travel to Ragusa to admire its stunning baroque buildings before enjoying a pre-dinner tasting of typical products of the island in the main square by the Dome. Accommodation, dinner and overnight at Hotel POGGIO DEL SOLE 4**** or similar. B/D

DAY 3 - RAGUSA/ CALTAGIRONE/ PIAZZA ARMERINA/ AGRIGENTO

Drive to Caltagirone, a town famous for its beautiful ceramics and pottery. Continue to Piazza Armerina to marvel at the Villa Romana del Casale’s rich mosaics. Eat lunch in a local restaurant before driving to Agrigento. Visit the Valley of the Temples including the Temple of Juno, Concord and Heracles. Accommodation and dinner at hotel DIOSCURI BAY PALACE 4**** or similar. Overnight. B/L/D

DAY 4 - AGRIGENTO/ PALERMO/ MONREALE

Travel to Palermo and spend some time exploring at your leisure. Visit Monreale this afternoon: the Cathedral and the Benedictine Cloister. Enjoy a city tour of Palermo: the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Palace and the Cathedral. Dinner in a local restaurant. Accommodation and overnight at Hotel MERCURE PALERMO EXCELSIOR 4**** or similar. B/D

DAY 5 - PALERMO/ SEGESTA/ ERICE/ SALT ROUTE (Trapani area)/ PALERMO

Depart to Segesta to visit the Temple and the Theatre. Continue the medieval village of Erice placed on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands before returning to Palermo via the unique salt windmills at Trapani. Dinner and overnight in your Hotel. B/D

DAY 6 - PALERMO/ CEFALU’/ NEBRODI PARK/ TAORMINA

Drive to Cefalu to admire its well-preserved Arab-Norman Cathedral. Enjoy a walk to the city centre and down main street to visit the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Drive through the Nebrodi Park and enjoy lunch in the Miraglia Forest. Continue to Cesarò and Randazzo to visit the north part of Mount Etna. Continue to Taormina, “the Pearl of the Ionian Sea”. Accommodation, dinner and overnight at Hotel VILLA DIODORO 4**** or similar, located near historic centre of Taormina. B/L/D

DAY 7 - TAORMINA/ MT ETNA/ TAORMINA

Weather permitting, excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano. Across fascinating landscape, you will reach a height of 1800 metres and you will enjoy a fantastic panorama over the Ionian Sea. Lunch on your own. Afternoon in Taormina: enjoy time at leisure for shopping or walking through the tiny streets. Possibility to visit the Roman - Greek theatre on your own. Return to the your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 - TAORMINA/ CATANIA/ POZZALLO/ MALTA

Morning at leisure. In the early afternoon, transfer from Taormina to Catania port by private car. Board the bus provided by the Ferry Company to Pozzallo port: here board the hydrofoil to Malta, delightful Mediterranean island. Transfer to Hotel DOLMEN RESORT located in St Paul’s Bay or similar 4 stars. Late arrival in Hotel and accommodation. A cold dinner is served in your room (cold cut, sandwiches…..). Overnight. B/D

DAY 9 - MALTA “MARSAXLOKK MARKET & THE BLUE GROTTO” Extended Half Day Excursion

The idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk with its colourful luzzus and unique character make the unrivalled setting for the local market. Continue the tour with a visit to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting – boat price not included) and the nearby caves. Explore one of Malta’s unspoilt village: the main square, the hub of the village with its parish church and band club. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring at your leisure. Dinner in your Hotel. B/D

DAY 10 - MALTA “VALLETTA + MALTA EXPERIENCE” Half Day Excursion

Enjoy a morning tour of Valletta – Malta’s heritage-rich capital. Highlights include the Upper Barracca Gardens and St John’s Cathedral, home to a splendid Caravaggio painting as well as an intriguing Museum. Going down Republic Street you will walk past the Grandmaster’s Palace before watching the Malta Experience, an audiovisual show where Malta history throughout the centuries is brought back to life. Spend the rest of the day exploring at your leisure. Dinner in your Hotel. B/D

DAY 11 - MALTA “MDINA” Full Day Excursion

Today’s sightseeing starts with a visit of Mosta Church renowned worldwide for its magnificent dome and a visit to the Botanic Gardens of San Anton. We proceed to Ta Qali Crafts Village where we will visit The Phoenician Glass Blowers, JCF Jewellers and Bristow Potteries. After lunch we visit the Wignacourt Museum as well as the St. Paul’s Grotto in Rabat and then proceed with a walk through the medieval walled city of Mdina, situated in the centre of the island. DAY 12 - MALTA

The tour ends after breakfast with a private transfer to the port or the airport of Valletta. B
