 ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival at hotel in Monterosso. Distribution of travel/journey documents/papers and room allotment. Free time. We recommend a short visit to Monterosso historical center, visit the Parish Church, Gli Oratori dei Bianchi e dei Neri and the Capuccini Monastery. Overnight stay.
Day 2: After breakfast you can visit Cinque Terre by train. We recommend the following itinerary: Go to Riomaggiore by local train and visit it, then through the "Via dell'Amore", you can reach Manarola (village, about 800 meters away, time 30/40 minutes). From here you can go to Vernazza by train. Vernazza is the most characteristic of the Cinque Terre with its small harbour, the Saracena Tower and the Parish Church. At the end of the visit you can reach Monterosso on foot via path number two. It is a path with a fine view and without great difficulty. During the two and a half hours of walking you will rech inside Cinque Terre Park. Here, the place and the characteristic Mediterranean flora will reward you for the small effort. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Full day to visit the Cinque Terre coast by boat, as far as the ancient Portovenere village, stronghold of the Marinara di Genova Republic. Visit the Castle of the XII century, to San Pietro Church overlooking the sea, opposite to the luxuriant Palmaria island, to San Lorenzo parish Church of the XI century, to the "carrugi", little roads, brilliant and colorful passages thanks to many local craftmanship and typical products shops that form the country itself.
Day 4: Breakfast at hotel. End of services. |
