CASTELLO DI CORTEVECCHIO Gubbio (PG)
Set on a hill of 590 meters altitude, 12km from the center of Gubbio. This is a beautiful medieval castle surrounded by a wide park with swimming pool, solarium, tennis court, ping-pong, bowling green and mountain bikes for hire. All the rooms are at 250 meters from the central building and are functionally furnished and provided with telephone, minibar and TV. The restaurant offers genuine dishes of Umbrian cuisine, based on handmade pasta, game and truffles.
VILLA CASAGRANDE
Figline Valdarno (FI)
25km from Florence and 40km from San Gimignano. Formerly a residence of artistic heritage frequented by kings, queens and popes, has been recently restored and is now an elegant hotel. In the villa there is still a little museum in which are shown masterpieces of painting and sculpture, and also ancient furniture and suits of armor. Facilities include indoor swimming pool (not heated), sauna and gym. Possibility of cooking, painting and ceramics courses. The rooms are restored and furnished taking care not to spoil the charm of this XIV century building. They are all provided with telephone and color TV. The restaurant is situated in the ancient weaponry room in winter and in the shade of the courtyard in summer.
