ITINERARY
Day 1 - Rome
Arrival and transfer to the hotel on your own. Day at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 - Rome
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning pick-up at 7:45am from the hotel for city tour, Moses’ Fountain, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona. Afternoon at leisure, overnight.
Day 3 - Rome/Naples/Pompeii/Sorrento
Breakfast at the hotel and departure at 6:45am by deluxe motorcoach for Naples, brief panoramic visit. Continue to Pompeii, lunch and visit of the excavations of this Roman town destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79AD. Continue by coastal road to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Sorrento/Capri/Sorrento
Breakfast at the hotel and departure at 8:30am by steamer for the famous Island of Capri. On arrival at the port of Marina Grande, departure (weather and sea conditions permitting) for a trip to the famous Blue Grotto. Lunch in Capri. Afternoon at leisure. In the afternoon, return to Sorrento, dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - Sorrento/Rome
Breakfast at hotel. Morning free for leisure activities. Lunch and afternoon return by bus to Rome. Overnight.
Day 6 - Rome/Florence
Breakfast at the hotel and departure at 6:45am by deluxe motorcoach for Florence. On arrival city tour visiting the Duomo, the Baptistery with the Golden Doors by Ghiberti, Giotto’s Bell tower, the Academy of Fine Arts with the original statue of “David” by Michelangelo, Piazza della Signoria. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon free for optional activities. Overnight.
Day 7 - Florence
Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure. (Optional Pisa, Siena or San Gimignano excursion). Overnight.
Day 8 - Florence/Venice
Breakfast at hotel and morning free for personal activities. At an indicated hour, transfer to the train station on your own for departure by train for Venice. Overnight stay.
Day 9 - Venice
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning walking tour (meeting point at 9:00am in San Marco Square, tourism office, museum corner) visiting: the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 10 - Venice
Breakfast at hotel. End of services

NOTE: due to the frequent change of and mode of transportation it is obligatory to bring only 1 piece of hand luggage per person for excursions to the south of Italy, as baggage handling can cause difficulties and may be lost or damaged. We are not responsible for passengers who do not comply. |
