AYURVEDA (rejuvenation and purification therapy) Ayurveda, the science of longevity derives from the ancient Veda civilization from India and is the world’s oldest known health system, practiced for millennia in India. The aim of the healing tradition is to harmonize body and psyche, to integrate and balance the body, mind, and spirit. This is believed to help prevent illness and promote wellness through cleansing and purifying of the body with antioxidants, herbs, oils, massage, meditation and specialized diets. In India it is a medical practice used in numerous hospitals.
BALNEOTERAPIA (Hydrotherapy) The thermal balneoterapia in the tub/pool consists of immersion, partial or complete (excluding the head), of the body in mineral water to temperatures of around 36-38°C for an inclusive duration of 15 and 20 minutes. The technique of the bath follows some general principles even if there are possible variations in the formalities of application (duration, temperature, etc.) according to the mineral water used and the pathology to be treated. The aim of these treatments are to enhance the immune system, stimulate circulatory process including lymph and blood circulation, accelerate cell activity, dilating tissue and vessels, activating the self-healing potential naturally.

CHROMOTHERAPY Chromotherapy is the use of colours (coloured lights) used for their therapeutic value and medicinal properties. They help maintain and directly influence our physical, mental and emotional equilibrium (calming, exciting, balancing, caring, harmonizing...) Some treatments include Blue Light, used to neutralize skin bacteria, cool down inflammations and speed up the healing process, and Red Light, used to increase the production of collagen and therefore particularly beneficial to treating wrinkles. The anti-inflammatory action speeds up the healing process of wounds and scar tissue. Typically this coloured light treatment lasts between 5 and 30 minutes in an especially adapted room. There are no harmful side-effects.
CIOCCOTERAPIA (Chocotherapy) Chocolate, a natural antioxidant, specifically cocoa and dark chocolate, does wonders, including for the circulatory system, preventing coughs and may act as an aphrodisiac since it’s the simple release of serotonin. Treatments include soaking in a bath tub filled with melted chocolate whilst being served chocolate-laced drinks, body and facial massages, and or finely grounded cocoa beans as scrubs used to rid the body of dead skin cells leaving it supple and smooth. FILIFORM SHOWER (Dermatology) A “filiform” jet of sulphurous water with various pressure and temperature, depending on the result one needs, removes superficial skin rows or produces a cutaneous massage. Not only does the jet work directly on the treatment area but also works to stimulate the body in general and in particular the cardiovascular organs and nervous system. GOMMAGE Derived from the word French word "gommage" meaning "to erase," this treatment is a non-chemical facial treatment. This is a gummy-like substance and is very gentle to the skin. It may not be as strong as a chemical peel/scrub, but for those who have sensitive skin, the Gommage facial is the better choice. It is quite effective in exfoliating and brightening the skin.
HAY BATH The idea of a hay bath is more than a hundred years old; the methods have been improved with time: in one tub the bather will be covered with damp, warm hay up to their neck, wrapped in a foil and lowered to a heated water pillow. The guest stays in the hay bath at a constant temperature of 42ºC for twenty minutes and afterwards they are wrapped in blankets during the relaxation period. The bathing in the scented hay flowers, herbs and grass ensures well-being and is beneficial for your body and soul. The hay used for the baths comes exclusively from unfertilized pastures of the ‘Seiser Alm’ mountain pastures and from heights above 1500m. This helps in particular in blood circulation and metabolism disturbances. The ethereal oils of the medicinal herbs strengthen at the same time the healing process and relieve pains.
HYDRO-KINES-THERAPY (Hydro Therapy) The physical-chemical properties of water, for its therapeutic purposes. KNEIPP THERAPY (Hydrotherapy) Discovered by Father Sebastian Kneipp, a Bavarian Monk in the 19th Century, who used water to revitalize, maintain, and restore health. It involves alternating between hot and cold water compresses. Treatments also include saunas, steam baths, footbaths, sitz baths, and the application of cold and hot water compresses. Cold is stimulating, and causes superficial blood vessels to constrict, shunting the blood to internal organs. Hot water relaxes, causes blood vessels to dilate, and removes wastes from body tissues. Alternating between hot can cold water improves elimination, decreases inflammation, and stimulates circulation.
LYMPH DRAINAGE (MASSAGE) One of the most documented benefits of massage is stimulation of the lymphatics and increased circulation. A very gentle therapy, lymphatic drainage massage targets an increased efficiency in our lymphatic system. PEEL (Facial) A chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. The precise formula used may be adjusted to meet each patient's needs.
PHYTO THERAPY: (Body Treatment-Wellness Program) Definition: the use of a wide variety of plants and plant extracts for the prevention and treatment of disease. Also called herbalism. Various array of treatments from topical application, to full body submersions, and also include body wraps which stimulates good reactions in the body without attacking it. The aim is not simply to treat illnesses as they come along, but to prevent them from occurring in the first place. The result is effective and longer in action, both for overall health and in treatment of chronic problems; insomnia or arthritis, for example. They are free from side effects.
PILATES: (Body-Wellness Program) A series of non-impact exercises designed/created by Joseph Pilates to develop strength, flexibility, balance and inner awareness. This may involve free body movement, as well as gym equipment. Pilates creates balance between strength and flexibility, particularly of the abdomen and back muscles, improves posture, balance and core strength. Beneficial also for improving coordination, dynamic stability and body awareness. Overall it improves bone density and joint health. PRESSO THERAPY: (Body Treatment) A treatment with special pressure cuffs designed to detoxify the body through effective lymphatic drainage. The pressure cuffs look like very long boots that go all the way to the groin. The boots are slipped on the legs and hooked up to a special computer controlled compression device, which inflates the cuffs. The cuffs have five pressure chambers that apply controlled external pressure. The pressure moves the venous and lymph flow, starting at the ankles and working its way up to the upper thighs. This technique improves circulation and venous problems, reduces bloating and swelling, improves skin oxygenation, relaxes the legs, improves skin tone and firmness as it also shapes the legs and reduces cellulite.
REFLEXOLOGY (Body-Wellness Program) A form of physical therapy practiced as a treatment in alternative medicine in which the hands, ear lobes and soles of the feet are massaged: designed to stimulate the blood supply and nerves and thus relieve tension. This technique creates deep relaxation and aids the body to release stress and tension, accelerates the body’s self healing abilities, aid’s better sleep, reduces blood pressure, as it can also help with acute injuries and chronic problems (asthma, eczema, headaches, etc.), helps relieve pain, removes energy blockages, adjusts the energy flow of the endocrine system bringing the body into balance and harmony, assists the body in cleaning itself from toxins, increases vitality and postpones the aging process.
SAUNA (Body-Wellness Program) Finnish steam bath in which the steam is provided by water thrown on hot stones; also a bathhouse or room used for such a bath, and aids to lose weight effortlessly, ease sore and tied muscles, relieve back pain or arthritis, combat colds and sinus problems, it also improves skin’s look and feel, feel peaceful and relaxed.
SHIATSU MASSAGE Shiatsu is an old, traditional, Japanese healing method. Shiatsu means “finger pressure.” But unlike the massages of the West, where kneading and friction is used, in shiatsu pressure and stretching is the key. The shiatsu practitioner uses palms, fingers, thumbs, knuckles, elbows, knees and the feet, to work on the body’s acupuncture points, along what they consider the body’s meridians or energy channels. Its a form of “touch communication,” and is a safe and effective preventive medicine, helping to restore balance a persons energy flow, and strengthen the vital organs. Shiatsu treatments are given for a variety of ailments, from respiratory problems, to digestive problems, to headaches and leg cramps, and can bring relief to a number of everyday disorders.
SHIRODHARA MASSAGE Consist of two types of massages namely Ksheeradhara and Thailadhara. Ksheeradhara: herbal milk is used for this type of shirodhara massage. Thailadhara: it is one of the most popular types of shirodhara massage in which warm herbal oil is used. Health Benefits: Ksheedradhara helps in cooling of the head and relaxes the mind. STONE MASSAGE A style of massage therapy in which water-treated stones are placed at specific sites on the client’s body to form relaxation and to help open up the meridians (energy pathway). Muscles are pretreated with the heated stones to allow the therapist to more easily perform deep tissue manipulations. Cool stones are sometimes used alternately with hot stones. Massage oils are usually incorporated into the massage treatment. This treatment promotes deep muscle and tissue relaxation, alleviates stress, releases toxins, relieves pain, improves circulation, and calms the psyche.
THALASSOTHERAPY (Hydrotherapy for Body) Involves exposure to seawater in a warm tub, or application of sea products (seaweed, algae) to the body as a paste or wrap for health or beauty benefits. The properties of seawater are believed to have beneficial effects upon the pores of the skin. Trace elements of magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium, and iodide found in seawater are believed to be absorbed through the skin. Effective in treating many medical complaints including eczema, psoriasis, back and muscular pain, arthritis and stress.
TURKISH BATH The CALIDARIUM belongs to the old tradition of purifying bath from which the sauna is descended. It requests staying in a hot/damp environment (40°/60°) usually perfumed with essential oils (mint, eucalyptus). The humidity gets to 90/95%. The staying inside the sauna lasts for about 30-35 minutes, and you have to alternate it with cold showers to stimulate and oxygenate circulation. This treatment is suggested to cure rheumatism and articular pains, muscle tensions and for the inflammations of the respiratory tract.
VINOTHERAPY (Body Treatment) Or vine therapy – describes a beauty therapy process where the residues of wine making (the pips and pulp) are rubbed into the skin. The pulp is said to have excellent exfoliating qualities and help reduce the problems associated with ageing. Effective in healing damaged skin, aids in balancing skin moisture, improves circulation and prevents wrinkles.
WAI THAI MASSAGE (Thai Massage) All the subtleties of the Thai massage mystery are preserved in modern Thailand owing to the technique being handed down from generation to generation. WATSU HYDROTHERAPY/MASSAGE A warm underwater massage (Japanese Shiatsu) that applies acupressure to points along the body’s energy pathways (meridians) in order to stimulate deep relaxation and reduce stress.
