CONDITIONS
CAR RENTAL RATES INCLUDE:

CAR RENTAL INFORMATION:
- To pick-up a rental car, you must possess a valid driver’s license for at least one year and be at least 21 years old for all categories and possess a valid passport as an additional identity document.
- Second driver must meet all above requirements.
- Reservations will only be confirmed by car category and not by car model within a category.
- Car rental is based on 24-hour cycle.
- A credit card is required upon pick-up
- Upgrades/Extras: An upgrade to a larger car, and any extras (fines, etc.) requested locally, are subject to local rates and taxes paid locally.
- Refuelling Service: All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to SIXT. If the vehicle is not refuelled, SIXT will charge the price of the missing fuel plus refuelling cost of €16 plus tax.
- Blackout period may apply. Car must be returned to renting location or other rates may apply. No drop-off charges on car groups B, C, D, E, F & N
CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT: Customer will be required to leave a deposit by credit card. The deposit due is equal to the value of the rental plus the amount of the excess of damages of the group rented. All credit cards must be in the driver’s name. Cash or Bancomat payment is not accepted.
CANCELLATION CHARGES: A $50 penalty will be charged for under $1,000 paid, or $100 penalty for over $1,000 paid, for cancellations made prior to departure and no-shows.
REPLACEMENTS: SIXT may, at its own discretion, refuse to provide a replacement car in case of theft, fire, total destruction or irreparable damage to the rented car.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION/OUT-OF-HOURS/ONE-WAY RENTAL: When the vehicle is delivered or collected to a place different from a SIXT location: charge of €20 for urban location, €1,50 per km with minimum of 30km for extra-urban area. For out-of-hours pick up customer must refer to office hours, out-of-hours pick up is allowed in most airport offices. Customer must agree in advance with rental location at a cost of €30 per rental.When the vehicle is returned in a place different from where it was initially rented: Italy €40 (included). Abroad- the price is different according to the country. The car can be returned abroad only with prior authorization from SIXT at the moment of reservation. General administrative expenses: €3 per rental.
EXTENSIONS/GRACE PERIOD: Rates allow 59 minutes delay in returning the car. The price of one day’s rental + taxes is charged after one hour. If the customer wants to extend the rental period, he must contact SIXT office where the rental is started to get the authorization and to extend insurance coverage. Requests made locally are subject to local rates and taxes paid locally.
EXTRAS: One Way:When the vehicle is returned to a place different from that it was initially rented: €45,00; After Hours: €30,00 per rental. Additional Driver: €4,00 per day; Baby Seat: €30,00 per rental; Snow Chains: €30,00 per rental; Ski Racks: €30,00 per rental; Navigation System GPS: €10,00 per day max 5 days per rental/month, in case of loss, damage or theft the amount chargeable is €200,00; Refuelling Service (if not returned with full tank of gas): €16,00 plus cost of fuel; Key Loss: €250,00; Delivery & Collection Urban areas €20,00, extra urban area €1,50 /km min. €30km charge, service on request. Charge fee for each renotification €30; Accident management expenses €50; Administrative fee €3,00. All extra charges subject to 21% VAT Tax.VAT 21%, APT fee, Railway fee not included in extra fees, they will be applied on top of fees.
OPTIONAL SERVICES (INCLUDED): Pack 2 (Super Cover): it totally cancels customer’s responsibility. It covers damages to: windows/windscreens, roof, underbody, inside, wheels and tires. It’s purchasable only along with CDW Plus Service and TP Plus service. It’s not valid if the driver’s behavior is in contrast with the article 1176 of Civil Code. In any case the driver cannot make use of any restriction of responsibility in case of negligence, fraudulency or gross negligence according to 1229 of Civil Code. In all these cases, the customer is fully responsible for the full cost of the vehicle.
SIXT ASSISTANCE: In case of breakdown the customer will contact SIXT Italy Assistance. Vehicle replacement depends on vehicle availability and office opening hours. Afterward, customer will reach nearest Sixt location on his own. Expenses borne to reach SIXT or to continue trip without SIXT vehicle will be refundable for a maximum amount of €200, provided all expense receipts are supplied. For any other kind of inconvenience, the refund and/or compensation will not exceed the total rental value. SIXT reserves the right not to provide a replacement vehicle without having to justify such refusal.
NOT INCLUDED: Gasoline, Road Tolls, Garaging, Ferry Charges, Parking Fees, Traffic Fines. All extra charges subject to 21% VAT Tax.
