The farm of Dolciano is situated a few kilometres from Chiusi, a town of Etruscan origins, rich in archaeological finds from this period and considered one of the most important areas for the study of this great people. The house Dolciano, is set amongst the hills of olive groves which surround this town, and dates back to the end of the 1600’s when it was bought Francesco I of the Medici family; in the first half of the 1700’s a small church was built which was given a neoclassic appearance in the 1800’s and later became the parish church of San Leopoldo. Over the centuries, this small church went through many changes, but the greatest damage was caused by an earthquake in 1944 and continual looting which has still left its signs today. A few metres from the church is the main house which has maintained its old charm, from an Italian garden with two lemon houses you come to a park which surrounds the house. The apartments for the guests are found in what was once the old schoolhouse, which has been completely restored with care taken, where possible, to maintain its original features.There is direct access to a part of the park which is solely for the guests’ use and which leads to the swimming pool that is shared with the other apartments. All of the apartments are situated on the first floor and are reached by a communal stairway. Very well furnished with period pieces. Independent central heating.
