A 13th century fortress, it was used as a summer residence by Cardinal Fabio Chigi who later became Pope Alexander VII. Situated between Siena and Asciano, thanks to careful restoration lasting a number of years, in 2003 Castello Leonina was returned to its previous splendor. Since then it has offered its guests the opportunity to enjoy peace and tranquility in an historic setting of great beauty. The hotel is elegant yet warm and friendly: only 21 rooms, furnished tastefully, each with fantastic views of the rolling hills.
