Itinerary
Day 1: Catania
Arrival at Catania airport. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight.
Day 2: Catania/Etna/Randazzo/Catania
After breakfast departure to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. We will reach 1800 meters and visit the Sylvester craters. Lunch at a local restaurant Tenuta Trinità, which offers Sicilian cuisine and bio products. Continue to Randazzo where we will be able to taste some pistachios cakes. The area is famous for its pistachio production. Back to Catania. Dinner on your own. Overnight.
Day 3: Catania/Ragusa/Catania
After breakfast departure to Ragusa, a beautiful city in the southern part of Sicily and famous for its baroque buildings and palaces. We will visit the Cathedral and the tiny streets of the historical center. Lunch at a local restaurant Il Barocco. Continue to Modica to visit the town and to taste the famous chocolate (Xocoatl) still done following the old tradition brought to Sicily during the Spanish dominion. Back to Catania. Dinner on your own. Overnight.
Day 4: Catania/Taormina/Catania
After breakfast depart to Taormina and visit the famous village and in particular the Roman-greek theater viewing the Etna volcano as well as Naxos bay. Lunch at a local restaurant La Baronessa, placed in the center of the village offering fine dishes. Afternoon at leisure in Taormina. Back to Catania. Dinner on your own and overnight.
Day 5: Catania
After breakfast depart to Catania airport. End of our services. |
