Itinerary

Day 1: Catania
Transfer to your hotel on your own and meet tour escort. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Taormina/Mt. Etna/Taormina
Buffet breakfast at your hotel and, conditions permitting, excursion to mount etna to 1800 meters to visit the sylvester craters. Back to Taormina. Lunch on your own and afternoon at leisure or enjoy an optional excursion (to be paid locally) to visit the village of Savoca, the famous catacombs of the cappuccini convent and bar Vitelli - used in the shooting of the "Godfather" in 1971. Then a scenic drive to Forza d'Agrò. Includes a walking tour through the peaceful streets, churches and cathedrals. Return to Taormina. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: Taormina/Siracusa/ Taormina
Buffet breakfast at your hotel and depart to Syracuse to visit the archaeological area, including the Greek theatre, Dionisio's ear, the latomie of the paradise. Visit continues with the historical and baroque center situated on Ortigia island. Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of this small island. Time at leisure for lunch. Back to Taormina. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Taormina/Piazza Armerina/Agrigento/ Palermo
Buffet breakfast at your hotel and then depart to Piazza Armerina to visit the Roman Villa del Casale, famous for its more than 3500 sqm of well preserved mosaics. Continue to Agrigento. Lunch on your own. Visit the valley of the temples, known for its well preserved Greek temples. Continue to Palermo. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Palermo
Buffet breakfast at hotel. End of the tour.
