In 2005, a major project began to take form. The idea was to merge three adjacent buildings in the historical centre of Palermo into one large hotel structure. The central part of the structure used to be the convent and the large church of Mercedarian Fathers, a monastic order from the end of the 16th century. Each of the 127 rooms has its own separate design and personality, all of them aim to provide maximum comfort, from the most exclusive suite to the snuggest single room. All rooms are provided with: bath and/or shower; centralized air conditioning with individual controls; wide selection of complementary toiletries; direct dial phone; internet cable connection; mini bar; room safe. All rooms on all floors are served by four lifts, one for each separate zone of the hotel. The wellness and fitness center is an exclusive space in the area of the old convent, with hydromassage, sauna, turkish bath, Technogym fitness equipment and more. Choice of rooftop breakfast room, or the elegant “passetti” (about 60 sq. m) dated 1700s, or the warm atmosphere of the wood-paneled dining rooms just off the Kemonia restaurant. There are two restaurants on the ground floor: the “city centre” and the Kemonia restaurant bar. On the first floor: the “Vittorio Emanuele” and the frescoed conservatory and smoking room bar. Internet room available. The old cloister (about 250 sq. m), is the pride and joy of the hotel, it has small lounge areas at each of its corners, so guests can enjoy the atmosphere in comfort., with a centerpiece fountain.
