On a property extending more than 300 hectares, on top of a hill looking over all eastern Sicily. Its position in the heart of Sicily makes the farm the perfect starting point for excursions to Taormina, Agrigento, Siracusa, Palermo, Piazza Armerina, etc. In the ancient farm built in 1300, with a characteristic Sicilian “baglio” (villa), an Italian family has rebuilt a monastery, now hosting tourists, with 15 warm and comfortable rooms with typical Sicilian furniture, bathrooms in every room, with terracotta floors. The farm has an elegant restaurant with typical local cuisine. The farm produces exclusively biological products and everything is seasoned with olive oil produced in the farm’s oil-press, and accompanied by the wine produced from grapes cultivated in low yield vineyards, picked by hand. The renovation respects the traditional structures, where arches, small squares, ancient beams and stone walls create a warm and ancient atmosphere. |
