Trentino-Alto Adige is the northernmost region of the country, and as Valle D'Aosta, its territory is completely mountainous. Many winter sports can be practiced in Trentino, such as skiing, trekking, alpinism. The dominating characteristic of this region is nature: with 53% of the territory dedicated to woods and pastures and a protected area of over 1,000 square kilometers, your gaze will fall upon mountains, valleys, glaciers and torrents. The Dolomiti, among which we can find the Brenta, Adamello, the Pale di S. Martino and the Monte Baldo, are the background of this charming landscape, where the seasons express their essence at the fullest. Going through the Parchi Adamello del Brenta, Paneveggio and the Nazionale dello Stelvio, discover over 300 lakes, (making the region also known as the "little Finland of Italy), among which the Lago di Ledro and the more famous Lake Garda.

Sport and nature are the perfect combination for health and well being. There's a wide thermal offer, known since the Roman times, even mentioned by Pliny the Elder. Despite the harsh territory, art and culture have not been excluded from the region: there are many churches decorated with frescoes, or other monuments like the Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento and many others spread all across the towns.
