The 18,000 square meters of the village rise directly above the sea on a hill 200 meters from a private beach situated in a small bay of sand and rocks. Parghelia, whose name means “sea shore”, together with the near Tropea, is one of the most suggestive coasts in Calabria: gilded beaches and small bays, a cliff (Pizzuta) in the middle of which there is a majestic rock named “Palombaro”. Thanks to its geographical position, Parghelia is an usual stop for tourists who mostly go to Capo Vaticano.
