CAR RENTAL INFORMATION:

To pick-up a rental car, you must possess a valid driver’s license for at least one year and be at least 25 years old for all categories. Young driver surcharge €15.00 per day, exclusive of tax, maximum charge of €150.00 excluding tax. Maximum age: no age limit.
Second-driver must meet all above requirements. No charge.
Reservations will only be confirmed by car category and not by car model within a category.
Car rental is based on 24-hour cycle.
Extensions/Upgrades/Extras: An extension on the rental period, upgrade to a larger car, and any extras (fines, gas, etc.) requested locally, are subject to local rates and taxes paid locally.
No refund under any circumstances, the voucher value or part thereof after commencement of the rental
Ski Racks €52.00 plus tax per rental. Tire chains €7.00 plus tax per rental and baby seats €55.00 plus tax per rental are on request and available at supplements stated (VAT tax included).
Oil and Maintenance: Expenses for oil and maintenance repair if any are refunded upon presentation of receipts, PROVIDED that prior authorization has been obtained from the local agent.
Refuelling charge: €15.00 will be charged in addition to cost of fuel used, for vehicles picked up with a full tank and dropped off without the same quantity of fuel.
Blackout period may apply. Car must be returned to renting location or other rates may apply. Rates available at participating locations. No drop-off charges on car groups B, C, D, E, F and N

Optional extra: Delivery and Collection - on request within the city €18.00 plus tax @ 20%. Outside €1.00 plus tax, per km. Minimum €18.00 plus tax.

CANCELLATION CHARGES: A $50 penalty will be charged for under $1,000 paid, or $100 penalty for over $1,000 paid, for cancellations made prior to departure and no-shows. No refund for unused days. ALITOURS will refund unused weeks only.

REPLACEMENTS: Hertz may, at its own discretion, refuse to provide a replacement car in case of theft, fire, total destruction or irreparable damage to the rented car.

GRACE PERIOD : Rates allow 30 minutes delay in returning the car. The price of one day’s rental + taxes is charged after half an hour.

NEW GOVERNMENT ROAD TAX : Mandatory and is payable in Italy at time of pick-up. Cost: all groups, €1,44 + tax (20%) per day up to a maximum of 6 days and for a total of €8,64 + tax (20%).
