Located in the town of Figline Valdarno, 25km from Florence and 40km from San Gimignano. Formerly a residence of artistic heritage frequented by kings, queens and popes, this building, half palace and half villa, (constructed in 1392 by Ser Ristoro notary of the Signoria of Florence) has been restored and is now an elegant hotel. In the villa there is a small museum with masterpieces of painting and sculpture, ancient furniture and armor. Indoor swimming pool (unheated), sauna and gym.
The restaurant, situated in the medieval weaponry room in the winter and in the summer outside in the shade of the courtyard, offering its friendly and sophisticated style, with refined Tuscan cuisine accompanied by excellent Chianti wines produced by the farm.
In the wellness area in the hotel you will be able to fully relax. Villa Casagrande offers many different types of massages including anti-stress, anti-cellulite or even a real traditional Chinese acupuncture. The centre is also equipped with a small gym, sauna, steam room and large hydro massage pool. The Wellness Area is open all year round, allowing you to fully enjoy your stay in the hotel.
Rooms were restored and furnished taking care not to spoil the charm of the XIV century building. Rooms have color TV and telephone. Apartments are wide and comfortable:

Package includes: 3 nights in double superior room, 1 exclusive jacuzzi use by couple for 30 minutes, 1 romantic dinner by candlelight with music in exclusive place (drinks not included), 1 entrance to the spa, late check out (15:00pm) for extra cuddling time. The Wellness Area is open year round, with the following timetable: from Mon-Sat (17:00 to 21:00) and on Sunday (from 15:00 to 19:00), allowing you to fully enjoy your stay in the hotel, the swimming-pool is open from 1st May until 15th October is heated by solar panels.

Wine Tasting: Organized guided tour 3 times a week through the noble apartments, the museum and wine cellar followed by the opportunity to taste several different Chianti wines produced by Villa Casagrande. $24 per person, available on Tue, Thur and Sat at 6:30pm.

3 Hour Cooking Classes: Traditional Tuscan Cuisine Course at Villa Casagrande: ?The cooking class lasts three hours and takes place in the afternoon at 4pm and ends with dinner based on what was prepared during the class. The chef, Mrs. Paola Boncini, will help you to prepare typical Tuscan dishes, Italian specialties and also sweets and cakes. Minimum 2 participants. Rate for one course per person in CAD: 2 to 5 participants $180. 6 to 10 participants $150. 11 to 20 participants $134.
