IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TRANSFERS

VENICE TRANSFERS - WATER TAXI TRANSFER: Meet & Greet and private water taxi

AIRPORT LOCATION: The new airport terminal is located next to the old terminal, approximately 800 meters from the small harbor where water taxis dock. Unfortunately Marco Polo Airport has discontinued free shuttle bus service, and permanent porterage service by the arrival terminal is not available. Though occasionally you may find porters, it is not a regular service.

WHY TRANSFERS ARE SUGGESTED: It might be uncomfortable or confusing for passengers to walk to the docking area on their own. Not only is it a 5-7 minute walk, it can be difficult getting around when you do not know the logistics of the airport/city. Please read the following information in order to fully understand how the services will be provided, and requirements that different passengers might have.

EXPLANATION OF SERVICE: This (private transfer) is the most comfortable way to transfer from the airport to Venice, especially if your wish is to arrive to Venice city by boat (faster & most convenient). As you walk out from claiming your luggage and clearing customs, you will find your assistant waiting for you with a sign with your name and he/she will take you to your private water taxi.

DROP-OFF INFO: This transfer does not include porter service to or from "Meeting Point" to "Docking area" *See below. If necessary you will find trolleys near the baggage reclaim points. In order to use them you must insert a One-Euro or a 50 cents coin, which enables you to release the trolley from the bay. Coin machines and currency exchange machines are available in the arrival area. Your assistant is with you the entire time guiding you to where you have to go next however they are not responsible for handling your luggage. At this point you will be provided two options, you can continue to walk from the arrival area to the dock (5-7 minutes) or you can take transportation (available upon request, and paid locally) to docking area. If you can continue by foot, you can keep your baggage trolley up to the water taxi dock, where you should clip it back in one of the bays, and your coin will be returned. Your assistant is with you the entire time (in both options), up to the airport dock, where you will board your private water taxi and reach your hotel.

ARRIVING TO YOUR HOTEL: Several hotels in Venice do not have a door over a canal accessible to water taxi, and other hotels are not located right by a canal. If this is your case, your driver will drop you off at the closest possible landing stage, where you would have to walk on your own from the boat to your hotel, Taxi drivers will unload the luggage from the boat, but will not help you with luggage to the hotel, as they are not allowed to leave their boat unguarded. The assistant will walk you to the hotel but will not take your luggage. Porter service in some parts of the town is available but expensive. Should you need a porter in town, please enquire about city porter service.

BOOKING TRANSFERS: Upon confirmation of your booking we will issue and send you a voucher with all our contact numbers and detailed information you will need for the transfer. NOTICE: If you experience serious delays due to a missed/cancelled flight you are requested to advise us at least 2 hours prior to the expected arrival time of the flight you were supposed to take to get to Venice (the arrival time shown on your voucher). If we don't hear from you in time to cancel your transfer, you will be charged the full amount of the transfer as a "no-show" fee. If your flight to Venice is delayed, but you are on that flight, you don't need to advise us as we always have updated information on arrival times. There will be no extra charge for the delay. In case your lose one or more pieces of luggage (not unusual if your journey includes more than one flight) you must call and advise us of your delay in reaching the arrival lounge. If we don't receive your call, we will wait 45 minutes after the effective landing time. If you don't advise us, after waiting 45 minutes, we will assume you were not on the flight and you will be charged the full amount of the transfer as a "no-show" fee.

*Where “Porterage Included - 1 piece luggage” is indicated, it refers to DRIVER assisting passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle (with 1 piece of luggage) ONLY.

TRANSFERS FROM/TO: 1) reaching the cruise port (Stazione Marittima) directly from the airport; 2) reaching all hotels on Venice Mainland; 3) reaching hotels located near Piazzale Roma (Venice car terminal) as hotel Olimpia, Arlecchino or Sofitel.
