Please be reminded of the following city taxes that travelers must pay locally:
As of July 1st, 2011, in addition to the previous Rome city tax, Italy Government Officials have approved a Local City Tax for Florence & Venice. This is NOT a tariff adjustment. This fee is COMPULSORY and MUST be paid DIRECTLY IN HOTEL upon arrival/accommodation check-in.
Currently, and until further notice, ALL clients whom will stay in any hotel in ROME must pay the following fees: 5 Stars Deluxe, 5 Stars and 4 stars hotel: €3.00 per day, per person; 3 stars, 2 stars, 1 star hotel: €2.00 per day, per person. The above amounts will be calculated for maximum 10 nights stay (it means that in case a client stays in Rome for 11 or more nights they will pay the fee for max 10 nights).
For FLORENCE & VENICE stays; 1.00 € per star: Therefore, 3 stars hotel: 3.00 € per day, per person; 4 stars hotel: 4.00 € per day, per person; 5 stars hotel: 5.00 € per day, per person. The Florence tax will be applied for a maximum of 10 days.
Children (up to 10 years) do not need to pay. The Venice tax is currently applied to a maximum of 5 nights, however there are ongoing negotiations to lower the tariff in low season (November to February) and for non 4 and 5 star hotels on the mainland and smaller islands, which will be charged less. Moreover, rates currently published online, or in our catalogue, as well as invoices do not reflect the city tax. Therefore please keep these in mind for previous, current, or future bookings with check-in periods from July 1st 2011, onwards for Rome, Florence & Venice stays. If/when this information changes, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Thank You. |
