The Forno Antico is a modern agrituristica and gifted with all the comforts. Opened the whole year, it is found in the heart of the National Park of the Cilento, the second park for extension of Italy. Locateddin Palinuro, Salerno. It offers beautifully pristine natural surroundings and a clean, uncontaminated environment. The Woods of Bruca, mentioned in Virgil's epic poem, The Aeneid - lies in the middle of the National Park of Cilento The ranch "Il Forno Antico" enjoys a wonderful and enviable location. Only a few kilometers away from downtown Palinuro (world renowned sea resort), the spectacular Mount Gelbison, and the most beautiful beaches of the Cilento coast. Gaze at beautiful landscapes, the gulf of Palinuro, wonderful starry skies, magical dawns and lovely sunsets. Spot hawks flying in the wind and wild boars enjoying the breeze. Silence is king here, and sleep restful. You can drive or bike or horse-back ride to the beach. There is a 10-acre orchard of olive and fig trees. The farm makes its own olive oil, grow its own grains, figs, and produce. The farm raise poultry, turkeys, cattle and pigs. The entire ranch is wheelchair accessible.

All rooms have private bathrooms. Linens are changed twice a week. The solid wood bedroom furniture is hand-made by local artisans in solid wood. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. Beautifully hand crafted furniture can be found throughout the entire villa. Guests may lounge by the pool or in the solarium in lush patio furniture freely available. On offer is typical cuisine based on the farm's home-grown produce. Everything is absolutely 'cilentano', from the cobblestone paths you'll walk on, to the food you'll enjoy. Feel like a true native, living by their local traditions and enjoying their seasonal activities, always in tune with nature.

Activities on offer: March, April: sausage making; olive, myrtle, and berry picking. Horseback riding excursions along the Lambro river to watch herons and storks. Marvel at the beautiful Primula Palinuri. Mountain bike excursions among the giants of Cilento. May, June, July, August: lots of sun and horseback riding, trekking, mountain biking, fishing and scuba diving, lamparate (night fishing), berry and mushroom picking. September, October: more sun and horseback riding, and mountain bike, trekking, lamparate (night fishing), tuna fishing. Olive, chestnut, mushroom, myrtle, and berry picking.

Recent News: "We have added a beautiful chestnut wood porch onto the pink house, and an automated in 'n out access. We have refurbished the bakery and built a new office. We have also built a children's park, completed the tennis court, and enlarged the animal park. Currently, we are building a conference room. Ducks and chickens supply an abundance of fresh eggs daily. The goats produce enough milk for everybody. The foals are now gorgeous horses. This year's oil is particularly good, the wine is fantastic and the sausage unbeatable. We gave the vegetable garden a boost: it now has zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, leeks, garlic, pepper, and abundant lettuce."
