This farm is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Calabria only a few kilometres from the sea (Monasterace 7kms), between the River Stilaro and the River Assi, where the Byzantines and Normans once settled and where the Bourbon dynasty built their famous country residences. Many traces of the Saracen invasions are still visible and of great interest are the some of the more important towns, with a wealth of historic and artistic places of interest. Here we are in fact only 5kms from Stilo and 8kms from Guardavalle. The farm´s guest accommodation is composed of one apartment in a detached house along with 4 pleasant guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms, all tastefully furnished and with a delightful view over the orange groves which surround the house. Summer evenings are perfect for relaxing on the veranda and in winter guests can enjoy chatting, playing cards or reading by the blazing fire. Meals can be enjoyed in the company of other guests or at private tables both in the dining room and outside under the orange trees, in a delightfully simple and courteous atmosphere. The swimming pool is particularly beautiful (6 x 12 m. - open May/Oct.) set in the orange and lemon groves bathed in sunlight all day. In the pretty farm shop guests can purchase farm produce: wine, olive oil, jams, salami and cured meats, vegetable preserves in oil and liqueurs. Guests can also take advantage of the mountain bikes available for excursions of their choice. Cooking courses can be organised for budding chefs and all those interested in discovering the secrets of Calabria´s delicious cuisine.
